Remains
of the victims of the Khmer Rouge genocide from the "Killing
Fields" in Choeung Ek, outside the capital Phnom
Penh, are piled up. The almost 9,000 remains dug from
86 mass graves of the total 129 from this "Kiling
Field" were of the intellectuals brought from Toul
Sleng and executed, tortured or starved to death by the
Khmer Rouge. AFP PHOTO/Manuel CENETA |
